Overview

Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) Identifier is one of the four pilot-project proposals selected for the third call for pilots launched in March 2023, which focused on three themes: positive and healthy ageing; connecting patients in the community; and population-health management.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) Identifier provides at-home data that can be reviewed by clinical specialists and inform and speed up diagnosis and treatment options for sleep apnea.

Introduction

People who have Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) have disturbed breathing while they sleep. The OSA Identifier seeks to transform the delivery of sleep apnea using a digitalconsultation platform used in parallel with homesleep diagnostics, allowing clinicians to make faster diagnoses without the need for people to ever come to the hospital.

Objectives

OSA Identifier aims to reduce the wait time for a sleep apnea diagnosis and treatment options.
